Upon registering for Nationals, studios will be able to receive up to a max of 5 complimentary VIP Observer Lanyards. These Lanyards will permit studio teachers and staff into each convention room. To be eligible to receive the complimentary VIP Observer Lanyards, studios must list all teacher and staff observers in their registration. VIP Observer Lanyards will be provided in the studio bag at the Registration & Check-In kiosk upon arrival.
Additional VIP Observer Lanyards for teachers and studio staff can be purchased at the Revel Registration & Check-In kiosk during the event. Pricing for the VIP Observer Lanyards are available at the regular observer band rate.
Parents of registered dancers are allowed into the convention classes if they purchase a Parent Observer Band. All Observers must be attending with paid dancers only. Studios can purchase Parent Observer Bands via the Registration Portal prior to Nationals or Parents can purchase the Observer Bands onsite at the Revel Registration & Check-In kiosk during the event. It is strongly encouraged to coordinate & purchase Parent Observer Bands prior to the event as quantities may be limited due to capacity. Parents purchasing Observer Bands onsite at Nationals will be required to verify their dancer's name, studio name and date of birth. Also, Parent Observer Bands are specific to the Revel Level (Senior, Teen, Junior, Mini) and may not be used to gain access to multiple rooms.
Parent Observers must make sure Observer Bands are visible for Revel staff at all times during the classes. Parent Observers must sit and keep all belongings against the walls to provide the maximum amount of space for the dancers. No photo or video is allowed in the ballrooms at any time. Revel reserves the right to ask any observer to leave the ballroom if they become a distraction to the dancers or faculty.
At Nationals, dance families and spectators of the competition will need to obtain a REVPASS. This is separate from an Observer Band.
Because Revel Events take place in public spaces, we are including this new measure to help ensure that ONLY friends and family of participating dancers are able to gain access to the competition audience. Safety is at the core of what we do. Any spectator (parents, family and friends) viewing the Competition in-person must have a REV-PASS to enter the main stage ballroom. Participating dancers and studio staff do not need a REVPASS. A REVPASS is essentially a ticket to the show, just like you would have to enter a theatre performance or movie, and are FREE.
Registered studios will receive info on how to obtain a REVPASS prior to Nationals.
REVPASS is not needed to gain entry to the Gala Dinner, Awards, and Closing Show.
All props must be listed for each dance upon registration. Each prop must include a description and accurate set up/tear down time. Props or set pieces over 10 feet high or over 200 pounds are not permitted without explicit permission from Revel. Point deductions will be made for inaccurate prop details and set-up time.
All music must be uploaded to Revel's registration software at least one week prior to Nationals. (Please be sure to have a back-up for all of your music with you at the competition via iPod).
Revel does not permit photo and video to be taken during the convention and competition. Photo and Video can be purchased online at the Media tab above.
The Revel Stage is generally 40 feet wide and 28 feet deep and includes wingspace.
Revel is proud to safely offer access to its Nationals livestream via a password protected webpage. Prior to Nationals, each studio will receive a passcode which may be shared with friends and family wishing to view the Competition or Gala Closing Show. This is a complimentary offering and is subject to the quality and availability of internet strength at the venue. It is recommended to view the stream with a high speed internet connection. Please note that viewers are unable to rewind or fast forward the stream. Videos and Photos are available for purchase separately. It is strictly forbidden to screen record the livestream and share it.
